It's a Wrap!

Hello! 

I just want to start by thanking you all for allowing your child to participate in our 2012 summer program. All of our 'Film Kids' made each day  full of laughter, fun, and creativity. We believe that our students have created something really special.The footage looks FANTASTIC! Now we begin the editing process, and I can't wait to see the final product.

I will contact you when we have scheduled our red carpet private screening, and keep you posted about film festival submissions. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns!

Registration for Film Kids 2012 is now open!

What makes us different?

· Students will learn about more than film! Film Kids is led by local educators. Our filmmaking activities are not only fun, they also support oral and written language!

· Students will select a special area of interest to pursue during the actual filming process. Prior to the first day of camp, students will meet the program director to discuss their area of interest and the role they would like to take in the filmmaking process.

· Your child will be working with other students who share their passion, and are willing to work well in a team setting. Our goal is to create a positive atmosphere where participants feel free to be themselves. All potential participants must participate in an interview prior to registration. Staff will only select students who show a genuine interest in the program and agree to Film Kids Code of Conduct.

The Good Kids Wins an Award at SFF!

Congratulations to all of our Film Kids on winning Honorable Mention at Sarasota Film Festival's Young Filmmakers Showcase!! This is a HUGE honor and we are so proud of all of you! "The Good Kids" was selected to screen at the Gasparilla International Film Festival and the Sarasota Film Festival!

WOW!!  We are bursting with pride. Our Film Kids created a film that was selected by two international film festivals!
 "The Good Kids" will screen March 31st at the Gasparilla International Film Festival, and on April 15th at the Sarasota Film Festival.  Please see the links below to purchase your tickets!

SFF- April 15th

The screening at Sarasota will be held April 15 (Sunday evening) and the red carpet begins at 5:45 (The program begins at 6:30).
